Clever Mum (clevermum.co.uk) is committed to handling your data lawfully, transparently and minimally under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. This policy explains what we collect and why.

Saved family plans

The family organiser, nursery comparison, newborn checklist, saved baby budget and baby-name shortlist use local storage in your browser. Your entries are not uploaded to us or sent as analytics event values. They do not sync between devices. Other people using the same browser profile may see them. Use “Clear saved plans” in the organiser or your browser’s site-data controls to remove them. Downloads and printouts stay under your control; avoid including sensitive identity or health information.

What we collect

• No accounts, no sign-ups, no mailing list — the site has no registration or newsletter, and no forms that collect personal details.
• Anonymous analytics — only if you accept optional cookies: aggregate page views and referrers to understand what content helps. IP addresses are anonymised.
• Correspondence — emails you choose to send us, kept as long as needed to handle them.

What we never do

• Sell or rent personal data to anyone.
• Load analytics or advertising trackers before you consent.
• Collect data about your children.

Affiliate links

When you click a partner link (marked *), the destination retailer or affiliate network may set cookies on their own site to attribute a purchase. That happens under the retailer's privacy policy, not ours — we receive aggregate commission reports, never your identity or what you bought.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time by emailing editors@clevermum.co.uk. You can also complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk) if you're unhappy with how we've handled it.
