How we make money
The model in one paragraph
Links marked * are partner links. If you click one and buy, we may receive commission at no extra cost to you. Commission never affects which products we feature or how we rank them.
Who we partner with
Our retailer links run through affiliate networks (such as Awin and Partnerize) and direct programmes with UK retailers including John Lewis, Boots, Mamas & Papas and specialist baby stores, plus Amazon UK. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
What the * means
- Every partner link is marked with an asterisk at the point of use.
- A disclosure box appears before any block of retailer buttons — before you click, not after.
- Partner links carry rel="nofollow sponsored", telling search engines the link is commercial.
- Non-Amazon retailer buttons route via our /out/ pages, which name the retailer and repeat the disclosure.
- Amazon buttons link straight to amazon.co.uk — never via /out/ or any other intermediate page.
Amazon Associates, specifically
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
- Every Amazon link goes directly to a plainly-visible amazon.co.uk address — we don't cloak, shorten or route it through an interstitial page.
- We don't call Amazon's Product Advertising API, so we never show Amazon's own price, stock status, star ratings or product images. Any price shown near an "Amazon" button is our own editorial estimate, not Amazon's live price — always check the current price on amazon.co.uk before buying.
- No Amazon logo or trademark image appears anywhere on the site.
- We don't buy through our own Amazon links, and we don't offer any reward for clicking one.
What money never buys
- A place in any round-up or review — inclusion is editorial only.
- A higher ranking, a better score or a softened verdict.
- Removal of a con, a criticism or a safety note.
- Advance sight of a review before publication.
What keeps us honest
The rules live in our editorial policy; the practical test is simpler: several of our top picks — supermarket own-brand formula, the £25 IKEA highchair, buying second-hand — earn us little or nothing. They stay top picks because they're right.
