No-Added-Sugar Fruit Lollies
By Emma Whitfield · Pregnancy & Baby Writer
Shop-bought ice lollies are often surprisingly sugar-heavy; these use only the fruit's own sweetness and a swirl of yogurt for creaminess.
Ingredients
- 200g ripe mango or mixed berries
- 100g full-fat plain yogurt (omit for a dairy-free version)
Method
- Blend the fruit until smooth (add a splash of water if needed).
- Spoon alternating layers of fruit purée and yogurt into lolly moulds, swirling gently with a skewer.
- Insert lolly sticks and freeze for at least 4 hours, ideally overnight.
- Run the mould briefly under warm water to release.
Tips
- Supervise toddlers eating lollies on a stick, and stop before they reach the very end.
- Frozen banana blended in makes the texture creamier without needing more yogurt.
