Our verdict
The Omni Breeze is the better long-term buy — it spans newborn to toddler, spreads weight onto your hips for genuinely comfortable long carries, and the mesh keeps you both cooler. The Mini wins only on simplicity for the fourth trimester: it's quicker to learn and lays a sleeping newborn down flat, but with no waist belt it gets uncomfortable past about 6kg and is usually retired by a year.
